The signature Barn Door Barre class is high-intensity, low-impact and accessible to the beginner as well as the advanced practitioner. Classes are designed to be a personal experience whether practicing privately, with a couple of friends or in a small group. Every posture and exercise may be adapted to the body, strength and capacity of each client. With this in mind, safety and postural alignment are priorities as large muscle groups are intensively engaged through small, controlled, precise and repetitive movements. Each sequence of strengthening and toning (which takes place at the ballet barre or on the mat) is followed by a series of stretches. Breath work enhances the strength/stretch combination to help practitioners become more mindful and body aware. Classes will also:
